Another New Day

How to handle the unexpected?

You ride it like a rogue wave – whopping and hollering all the way.

Life. It doesn’t go exactly the way you have planned; a  job falls through, your spouse wants a divorce and you can’t find your glasses.  After all how can you see the future if you can’t see it at all?

When an unexpected change happens it is only natural to panic. Then you must plan.Writing in your journal helps you to ease out of the panic. Listing the problems and brainstorming the solutions will give you back some sense of control over the situation.

Don’t be afraid to let people know what happened- they may have creative ideas for you. When under stress, remember to eat well, and keep moving.

Writing Business

I am working on a new blog. It is not a blog for writing but it requires lot of it.There is also the planning & the design of the blog. I have been added lots info before I officially release it.  I want it to have at least 20 articles so there is something there for people to read.

I have this blog site. Someone set it up for me and now I am learning how to edit the different pages besides making sure I add something almost every day.

Then I have 2 sites I write for on a consistent basis. Also there are articles sites I submit work to for more coverage. Writing is something I do but I don’t always get to write what I want. There is fiction story I have not touched in a month. Working full time and trying to keep up with it all is daunting.

I have proposed a project a day. Last night I spent it on one blog. I tested out templates, searched for photos and finally decided on colors, fonts and a photo.

Writing is a business. That means there are things you must do to keep it alive. I don’t know of anyone discovered and pulled from the ranks to stardom.  You must carve out your own path, keeping to it everyday so that you don’t lose momentum.
