Achievement IQ Moments

On my desk sits a 1948 hardcover copy of Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. I bought it at a garage sale over fifteen years ago.  In this book he includes stories from average people who were able to achieve extraordinary things using some of the principles that Carnegie outlines in his book.  Sixty years later the principles and stories hold up.I was reminded of Carnegie’s book when I received my copy of Stanley Bronstein’s exciting third book; Achievement IQ Moments® scheduled for release – Oct 1, 2008. This book profiles more than 50 high-powered achievers (AIQers). From Stanley’s introduction-

Achievement IQ Moments
What exactly is an Achievement IQ Moment? I’ve been asked that question so many times, I’ve lost count.

Quite simply, an Achievement IQ Moment is thought of as an “ah-ha” life-altering moment in one’s life – in effect, an epiphany.

Most books will beat you over the head with their brilliant words in this book Mr. Bronstein allows average people to tell their own stories in their own way.  As with Dale Carnegie it is the ordinary person who can change their lives through simple or extraordinary methods.

As example- in chapter 44, Douglas Caine of Los Angeles was offered this choice by an understanding judge; “Mr. Caine, do you want to go to prison for three to five years, or do you want to go into rehab for a year? Douglas chose rehab and out of that decision created Sober Champion.  This is a new model of rehabs that helps people “clean up” by returning them to their previous environment and Sober Champions are there for them, twenty-four hours a day, to help the patients learn how to deal with their environment, without returning to their addiction.

In Achievement IQ Moments® we are given fifty of these kinds of stories.  You can’t help but relate to someone in these stories.  They are there for you at different points in your life. You can take down the book and read through it for inspiration when you are stuck.

If I had a criticism, and it is a small one, I would like to hear more of Stanley Bronstein’s voice throughout the book.  His take on these stories are important too.

I would recommend this book for its pure inspirational value.  It will motivate you when you feel down or give continued encouragement on your road to success.
