Today’s Take Action Prompt: Use Life as a Springboard for Creativity

By Sandra Lee Schubert | July 23, 2008

Keep your goals in the closet for one month.

Use life as a springboard for creativity — Collect writing ideas from your daily interactions. Listen to conversations on the bank line, or a restaurant. Write a one page play on what you heard. Keep your eyes open for interesting details. As an example, the local church has a wonderful starry ceiling. Write about that.

Pursue your craft with passion — wake up and do your art before you have a cup of coffee or turn on the TV.
