Giving Thanks

By Sandra Lee Schubert | November 27, 2008

Trees on the HudsonThe times may be tough but that doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for the things we do have in our lives right now.

If you are reading this you have a computer or access to one.
That is a start. Start small.

You have clothes
You can read
You can write

With these few things you have a head start in life. It is easy to give into negativity. Getting laid off put a damper in my holiday spirit but good friends and family have kept me from wallowing in a bad mood.

I am grateful to those same friends and family.  I am grateful that I had a job for five years after going through a period of being laid off every six months to two years. Now that was stressful time! I am grateful for being able to give people the gift of stories. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to think outside of the box.

If  moment of panic rises up just acknowledge it is OK to feel a bit fearful but don’t let it be the main thrust of your day. Take action by writing each day and creating your life one step at a time.

Here are some positive thoughts from Stephanie Bell the Spirit Coach. Enjoy.
